Hey! Nice to meet you!

I’m Sajib, the writer and producer behind all content published on AIS Tech Notes and the accompanying YouTube channel.

A.I.S. are the initials of my name, and since I decided to put all my tech content here, well, you get the idea where the name comes from!

This here combines my passion for writing and my enthusiasm for all things tech. Read on to find out more about what you can expect from me on this site and the YouTube channel that complements it.

Why read/watch AIS Tech Notes?

Good question! AIS Tech Notes is not set out to be the next Verge or something. Despite the publication-like name, I have every intention to keep it as a personal outlet for writing/reviewing/analyzing tech.

Here are some of the topics you can expect me to cover regularly:

Apple Ecosystem

If you’re into the Apple ecosystem or are even remotely interested in it, you’re in the right place! (Don’t worry if you’re not!) Apple isn’t all that I cover. More on that below.

As I sincerely enjoy the convenience of the Apple ecosystem, a high number of my content will naturally feature reviews, guides, commentary, and often news and roundups for Apple products.

I currently use an iPhone, Macs, an iPad Pro, Apple TV, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and I’m sure there is something else I’m forgetting. You either know how well all of them work together, or you don’t.

But if you’re interested in Apple content, I’m sure you’ll enjoy watching or reading AIS Tech Notes.

Hardware reviews

Although my tech primarily revolves around Apple, as a tech enthusiast, I use a little bit of everything.

Even though my primary phone is an iPhone, I also keep a couple of Android phones (including the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra) around so I don’t miss out on cool new features that Android may be launching.

Macs are my favorite computing devices, but I also have a few Windows devices, including some mini PCs that I think are going to take over the world soon!

That’s not all; I also dabble in what’s called ‘distro-hopping.’ I believe in the power of open source and Linux, and I love exploring and talking about various Linux distributions (my favorites are Zorin OS, Fedora, and, of course, Ubuntu).

Software stuff

Whether AI eliminates the need for SaaS companies remains to be seen, but until that happens, I think SaaS tools (of all sizes and purposes) are here to stay, and I happen to love exploring various SaaS tools and talking about them in detail.

So, you can expect a fair bit of SaaS-related content (reviews, how-to guides, comparisons, and so on).

Some of them will also feature software you can install and use on your computer, not just the cloud-based ones.

Also, I explore a ton of self-hosted stuff (who here loves setting up homelabs?), so you can expect a fair bit of that, too!

AI, of course

Love it or hate it, like most modern inventions, artificial intelligence (AI) is a solid leap forward, and even though it’s a double-edged sword, it’s here to stay.

I will also explore various AI tools and share tips and suggestions. I do know of the negatives surrounding AI, but I also believe that there are aspects of work that could benefit from AI.

That said, it’s important to note that none of the content you’ll actually read or watch across AIS Tech Notes is AI-generated.

Of course, I use AI for research, brainstorming, and sometimes structuring content. But I’m strongly against copying AI-generated content and publishing it as-is (except for business cases).

For more on how AI is used across AIS Tech Notes, you can review my AI Usage Policy.

Analysis and commentary

Regularly, you’ll also read/watch commentary and analysis that dives deep into the current affairs in tech, monthly roundups of noteworthy tech news, and my opinion and reaction to industry news.

In addition to subscribing to the AIS Tech Notes on YouTube, I also invite you to subscribe to the weekly newsletter at ais.news. This way, you (and I) will not be relying on YouTube’s algorithm, and instead, you can hear from me weekly on all things I’ve published, with a weekly dose of commentary on tech’s latest.

Who’s behind this?

Well, Sajib, of course! 🙂

As a 90s kid, I grew up through what might be the most transformative era of our generation – from dial-up internet and Web 1.0 to today’s video-first world.

As I discovered my passion for tech and writing, I spent a significant amount of my time writing for various newspapers, magazines, and blogs.

Why become a content creator?

Funnily enough, I ‘created content’ long before “content creator” was a thing. You can find many of my early writings on things like web-based tools, using Linux, and smartphone reviews courtesy of the Internet Archive.

Of course, I didn’t make videos since I wasn’t camera-friendly, but I still made a ton of content in tech – primarily for others.

After spending a decade working for a tech company, I now regret not doing more of what I loved doing early in my career. Just imagine if I had been creating content all these years!

As the cliché goes, better late than never! So, here I am! In early 2026, I start the journey of my tech content creation journey, with a focus on writing analytical content and deeply researched reviews.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading and watching AIS Tech Notes!

If you have any suggestions, please send them my way!
